What is the Primary Bible Translation used in Equipd?

Equipd is purposely built with the primary Bible reference as the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (NWT), as published by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. The NWT is not distributed as part of the Equipd install. Chapters are downloaded from jw.org and cached as they are requested, exactly the same as a browser. Why the New World Translation? This is one of the few translations to have returned God's name - יהוה "Yahweh" in Hebrew, or "Jehovah" in English - to its rightful place in the scriptures. 

Equipd also makes available 26 alternate Bible translations including the King James Version and the American Standard Version for comparison purposes. You can view these alternate translations side-by-side next to the NWT scriptures and compare renderings and meanings.
